Community Service Projects

Grace Lutheran students are involved with many service projects throughout the school year. Projects are designated by each classroom. Grace Lutheran School also supports four service organizations throughout the school year with our chapel offerings that are brought in every Wednesday including Operation Christmas Child, Smitten for Mittens, Crazy for Caps; benefits Lutheran Social Services of greater Salt Lake City, Heifer International, Giving Gardens, and other great organizations.

Annually Grace Lutheran Church and School gives an extra focus on our local Utah community during the fall and winter months. Grace Lutheran students reach out to many organizations during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays including The Road Home, The Rescue Mission, Utah Food Bank, Pregnancy Resource Center, and the Boys and Girls Club of Sandy.

Every student at Grade Lutheran School has an opportunity to experience hands-on community service. Grace Students build close relationships with our local comminity and support our neighbors.

Each January our students receive an amazing opportunity to personally deliver collected warm items to The Road Home and Rescue Mission in Salt Lake. Throughout fall and winter, they assist in serving food, packaging items to be delivered, and support fundraisers.

Reaching out to the homeless and giving extra support brings our students great joy to share the love with those in need. It is great opportunity for our Grace Lutheran students to learn how to give back to their community.
