2nd Grade

Hello! My name is Heather Anderson. I am extremely excited to be teaching 2nd grade here at Grace and in Utah! While it is my third year teaching at Grace it will be my 9th year teaching all together. I spent the last 6 years teaching 2nd grade at a Lutheran school in California. Before living in California I moved about every 4 years so I claim to be a little bit of a nomad at heart. I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education through Concordia Portland in Oregon and my Masters in Education with an emphasis in Literacy though Concordia Nebraska. I love teaching in general but my favorite subjects are Religion and Reading. I hope that throughout the year students will learn they are precious to God and develop a passion for reading and storytelling. When I am not at school I enjoy hiking, skiing, traveling, reading, watching The Green Bay Packers, going to concerts and sleeping.

Athletic Director

Hello! I am Jill Beadles, the Athletic Director at Grace.  I moved to Utah with my family in 6th grade and enrolled in Christ Lutheran, Murray.  Remaining in Lutheran schools, I then graduated from Salt Lake Lutheran High and Concordia University, Wisconsin with a Bachelor’s degree.  Athletics is important to me and my family.  In elementary and high school I played every sport offered and played collegiate basketball and volleyball.   I believe athletics promotes confidence, self-esteem and cooperation and is a great way to give glory to God. My husband, Brad, and I have 3 children, Zane (27), Kaden (11) and Kylie (9).  Kaden and Kylie attend Grace because the Christian education and the individual attention they receive here is important to us.

4th Grade

My name is Lindy Carlton and I am blessed to be teaching our fourth graders at Grace. I was born in East St. Louis, IL and moved with my family to Utah in 1963. I graduated from The University of Utah with a degree in Geography. That may explain why I enjoy working with maps. That also explains why the St Louis Cardinals and Utah Utes are my favorite teams. Ten years ago I received my Master of Elementary Education and have been teaching ever since. Before that I coached a variety of my children’s sports teams, taught Sunday School and worked with children in my church. I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors, reveling in God’s great creation.

My passion is helping children see how they can use the gifts God has given them. I help them develop the desire to become a better person. I love to encourage children serving others. I feel that by serving those less fortunate, we’re allowed to better reflect on our blessings. May God continue to richly bless us as we work to fulfill His plans for us, and our children’s, lives.

Hello and God’s richest blessings to you! I am Shelly Davis and I am the principal of Grace. I have served in Lutheran education since 1990, beginning at Salt Lake Lutheran High School, later known as Concordia Preparatory School, in Salt Lake City. At Concordia from 1990 – 2012, I served as teacher, advisor, coach, school counselor and in administrative roles. I have a B.A. from Concordia University, Ann Arbor, MI in education with specialties in English, health, psychology, and history and I hold a MaED from the University of Phoenix.

I am overjoyed to serve at Grace and be able to share the love and forgiveness of Jesus with all of our Grace family. Grace is a strong academic school with excellent teachers and curriculum; but the best thing about Grace is we are a family….God’s family.

As a new resident of Utah, I am thrilled to be the preschool teacher. My husband and our two four-legged babies moved from Atlanta, Georgia where I taught at the lower preschool level for two years. I graduated from Concordia University Nebraska in 2013 with a Bachelors degree in education.

I have lived around the country, but Arizona will always be home. My family will frequently travel back to Arizona to see relatives and enjoy the warm sun. I have a passion for serving my community, painting, coffee, and dogs.

After moving to Salt Lake City in 2013, I started working with Stretch-N-Grow of Utah, in which I teach kids ages 3-7 beginning soccer and basketball skills along with running Before/After School here at Grace.
In Gym Class, students are learning how to work together in teams with different teammates. Students are also learning how to show good sportsmanship, to play fairly, and to encourage their fellow classmates.
